RuneScape was developed by Andrew and Paul Gower in 2001. The first public game they released was a combination of 3D and 2D sprites that is why the graphics were not that great. Who would expect a Skyrim-like graphics at that time anyway? There came Constant Tedder and together with the Gower brothers, they formed Jagex to focus on the business aspect of the game. In 2002, an optional monthly membership fee was added to the game that is needed to access additional quests, items and areas.
The game continued to become popular and in 2008, Jagex made a massive graphic overhaul to the game. In July 2013, RuneScape was released and two months later, the most important in-game item was released buy rs gold, the Bond. The game unfolds as a battle across five different maps, each allowing for up to four cards to be played. You have to defeat the enemy champion during these five maps, otherwise a duel will take place at the end to decide the winner. The twist here is that all the cards you play directly influence your champion, and sometimes the enemy champion too.
The idea behind this is that you have to “buff” your champion as much as possible by providing him with cards that drop weapons, gold, armor and health. I know in the ‘old school’ days of Runescape some might associate it with ‘spammers’ and ‘hackers’. The staff of Runescape have done a great job in limiting this stuff. I remember having my chat spammed all the time in the old school edition, and now you don’t really get that anymore. They handle it very quickly, and you can report it as well.
The area where players are spawning (entering the game) has some guards in place, but the volume of killers at the moment is way more than they can handle. It’s a good problem for Jagex because it indicates players are interested in DarkScape, but the plan is to spread out the spawn points so players can have a moment to get sorted before being killed. Last Friday it was announced that a vote would be held whether or not to turn on the servers of the August 2007 version of Runescape.
I was instantly excited and wanted to cast my vote to help bring the “glory days” of Runescape back. Therefore, on top of the $7.95/mo membership fee an additional $5-15 (depending on voting outcome) will be incurred. Only if the voting reaches 750,000 will the servers are open to free players. Combat in RuneScape is similar to a turn based game with players selecting targets and taking it in turns to deal and receive damage.
As I mentioned there is an event to kick off Runescape 3 called the Battle of Lumbridge. Both Saradomin, the god of order wisdom and light, and Zamorok, the god of chaos and destruction, have come to Lumbridge to fight cheap rs gold. You actually get to see them having a Harry Potter style magic battle. The tears of Guthix, the dead god of balance, are seeping into the ground, and it is your job to gather up the divine tears and give it to one of the gods to earn the favor of and strengthen your chosen god.
In combat players can also use summoned creatures, potions and abilities for maximum damage. Players have the option to use melee, ranged or magic based attacks in combat which all level up separately as you use them.
