A new report has found out that the game will be a turn-based strategy RPG. The game will allow you to upgrade your characters, weapons, armor, and potions as you progress through. Resources will be found in the game and there will be a crafting system for upgrading gear, but also in-app purchases for speeding up that process. So far, it has also been confirmed that the Red Bird will be the warrior class, and the Yellow Bird will be a Mage, but the other birds are as yet unaccounted for.

The Division 2 trial is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but not Stadia. The trial offers only eight hours of playtime, and your level will be capped at 8. Outside of clans and the in-game store, all other components of the base game are accessible as part of the demo.

The trial version does have a couple of other limitations. In-game clans will not be accessible and neither will in-game purchases, which makes sense as participating in cosmetic microtransactions doesn’t make much sense for a game you don’t own, or can’t continue to play after a short period of time.

All you have to do is locate the free trial/demo on the appropriate marketplace (PSN, uPlay, Epic Games, Xbox Live) and you’re good to go. Simple enough! Division 2 is constantly on sale for pretty crazy low prices, so even if you dig it but don’t want to dive in right away at full price, you can probably wait on another sale eventually.
