Runescape holds an interesting place in my heart. I know the game is pretty terrible and that it is not fun, but I can’t help but go back to it occasionally. They have upgraded the game in significant ways before; the two most important being the Grand Exchange and adding both active and passive skills. The latter actually added some depth to the game and made it a little more than just a point and click combat system.
Ironically enough, one of the best skills seems to be a passive one that increases all damage as long as you don’t activate any skills, bringing the game back to square one. Honestly, when people ask me if Runescape is dead yet, I have to laugh and tell them rs 07 gold, “No way! People still love playing the game.” Tons of people still play – not enough for RS to make the news but more than enough for the game to stay alive and feel crowded. Check out the pic below – this shows what I mean. If you smith, there will be other people there smithing, too.
With hundreds of millions of accounts there are plenty of players to join you in this fantasy MMORPG. RuneScape offers all the features you would expect from a modern game with quests, skills, trade, chat, mini-games, NPCs and co-operative based adventures. It’s inevitable that Chronicle: RuneScape Legends will be compared to Hearthstone. What free-to-play card game won’t, in this day and age?
The difference is that you’re playing your hand of cards against yourself as well as your opponent. After placing up to four cards on the game board, your character proceeds to smash through whatever you’ve laid out for them, reaping the rewards and occasionally suffering the damages. RuneScape takes place in the magical world known as Gielinor and is split into a large number of regions for players to explore and complete quests in. Just like you would expect from an MMORPG each region is unique with its own monsters and story.
DarkScape, which will run in parallel to the original game, will take place in the same world as RuneScape, using all the same art assets and gameplay, but with two main differences that set the games apart buy rs gold. First, DarkScape is an open player-versus-player (PvP) world, where almost any player can attack and kill any other player. Cities will have powerful, non-player controlled characters (NPCs) that will jump in and attack anyone who starts a fight, but with enough high-level players, they can be overpowered.
I’ve never purchased Membership before in Runescape, but trying it now at this age and understanding how to gain levels and do tasks I think it’s well worth the $8. I can’t see myself spending more than about 4 months worth of time on Runescape, even as a dedicated player. It’s a type of game that I find is good in little spurts over many years, where you feel refreshed every time you play it. Any game overload isn’t good, and it’s easy to feel that way with Runescape.
Runescape was the first online game I became an adamant player in. I started playing in early 2003 on what is now referred to as Runescape Classic. I played pretty heavily for those first few years and saw the introduction of Runescape 2 (now just Runescape). Everyone I knew my age had at least tried it and many were pretty addicted to the game by this point. I created a few clans and even rose to a moderator for a fairly large clan of +300 members near the end of my Runescape career.
